The streamlined 203k allows for non-structural renovation repairs such as painting and new appliances. The minimum Loan Amount is $5,000.
FHA 203k loans are for a primary residence that requires some renovation completed within 30 days of closing. Renovations may include structural elements, however, if the scope of work looks like it will exceed 30 days or exceed the allowable renovation amount, this may not be ideal for some buyers.
