Jamaica Canas has been a real estate sales professional since 2003 and became a loan officer in 2013. Her high energy business background and lifelong knowledge of the islands gives her the ability to provide clients with unparalleled customer service.

Born and raised in Kona, Jamaica has been involved in the local community all her life. On the weekends she enjoys being with her family and soaking up the sun at the beach. She is married to her handsome husband, Edward "Mexico" Canas, they have a daughter, Lilikoi, who is a very talented dancer and singer, and son, Cain, who is such a loving, happy, energetic, and active boy. They also have a daughter, Leilani, who lives in Texas and is a Pharmacy tech and pursuing to be a Pharmacist. Jamaica's enthusiastic work ethic, knowledge of real estate, and understanding of the Big Island's culture and its people is a great value to both buyers and sellers alike.

At an early age Jamaica started helping her parents at their Century 21 real estate office. Handing out flyers and helping write ads taught her about the business of Big Island real estate. After graduating from Heald Business College, she went on to receive her real estate license from the state of Hawaii in 2003. She soon followed in the family tradition of real estate by working alongside her mom Cindy Griffey, a top producer who has been in Big Island real estate for over two decades.

Deciding to make a career change, she became a mortgage loan originator and was licensed in 2013. For four years, Jamaica worked alongside her dear friend, and learned the industry and enjoyed every bit. With a dream to open her own Mortgage Broker Company, she created Trusted Home Loans. Inspired by the scripture Proverbs 3:5-6, Trusted Home Loans was established on April 28, 2017. In 2019, Jamaica Canas joined forces with V.I.P. Mortgage, Inc. to create Your Trusted Home Team. She is producing branch manager and has the pleasure to work along side her sister in-law Alena Griffey who is also a loan officer with the team.
